Edgar Salus

President

Edgar is a senior at Berlin International School where he is completing the IB programme. His primary interests include physics, engineering, finance and entrepreneurship. This led him to complete an internship with R3 Solutions following the speaker event hosted by JEC Berlin with their two CEOs. In the summer of 2024 he co-founded his first startup: Vivica Electronics. Edgar is also a founding member of his school’s science club and editor in chief for the school newspaper. He has been playing field hockey for as long as he can remember, and also works as an assistant coach for younger players at his club. This led him to found his second startup Hockeybutique where he sells hockey training equipment. Reflecting his passion for physics, Edgar runs an educational social media account called “The Quantum”. He is very excited to contribute to the positive impact JEC has on Berlin and beyond.

Julian Brockmann

Vice President

Julian Brockmann is a senior at Berlin International School with a keen interest in economics, finance and public policy. His ambition to later enter politics, after first building experience in the private sector, shapes much of his current work. Julian recently completed an internship at Deutsche Bank, gaining valuable insights into banking and financial markets. As Vice President of the Junior Economic Club of Berlin, he wants to contribute to fostering economic dialogue among young people. Beyond academics, Julian is pursuing the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, having completed both the Bronze and Silver levels and currently working towards the Gold Award. This summer, he broadened his international perspective by attending a summer school at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Deeply committed to making a positive impact, Julian looks forward to supporting JEC Berlin’s mission to connect ambitious students and inspire change in Berlin and beyond.

Rusheel Nuthalapati

Chief Technology Officer

Rusheel is a senior at Berlin International School with a deep interest in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading, and applied computation. He has interned at top-tier firms Jane Street and Wincent, where he worked on real-world trading models, explored market behavior, and used tools in high-frequency finance. Rusheel is also passionate about physics, earning Gold and Silver medals at the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) and being recognized by the Berlin Senate and the German Physical Society for his contributions to science. Alongside his schoolwork, he studies master’s-level economics courses in international trade and institutions at Freie Universität Berlin. Outside the classroom, he mentors younger students in STEM, speaks at conferences like MIT URTC, and is currently preparing to launch AI-driven fintech solutions with VC backing and support from The Knowledge Society (TKS). Through JEC, he aims to connect with like-minded peers and explore how finance and tech can shape global change.

Aleksander Haladus

International Relations Coordinator

Aleksander is a senior at Berlin International School, currently completing the International Baccalaureate with aspirations to pursue a career in finance—specifically in private equity, investment banking, or consulting. After attending the Finance & Economics Summer School at Bocconi University, he gained valuable insight into capital markets, financial modeling, and real-world applications of economic theory. He also completed an internship in Zalando’s Markets Finance Department, where he supported cross-market analysis and deepened his understanding of data-driven decision-making. Aleksander is currently competing in the continental round of the Economics World Cup, where his team is developing solutions to a real-world economic case study focused on global policy and innovation. Through his involvement in Model United Nations, he has developed strong public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Outside academics, he has played football since childhood and trains consistently at the gym. As International Relations Coordinator, he aims to connect JEC members globally and foster meaningful cross-border collaboration.

Charlotte Tillmann

Chief Marketing Officer

Charlotte is an 12th-grade student at Berlin Metropolitan School with a keen interest in economics and the business world. Her dedication to understanding global markets and financial systems drives her passion. Beyond academics, Charlotte is involved in various extracurricular activities that enhance her leadership and analytical skills. She has excelled in Model United Nations, earning the title of "Outstanding Delegate" at the Oxford 2022 conference. Charlotte is also committed to tennis, both as a player and a coach for younger athletes, and she enjoys playing the piano. Her leadership extends to being a class representative and a school ambassador, contributing to her school community by assisting at events.

Charlotte aspires to pursue a career in economics and finance. By joining the JEC for a second year, she aims to collaborate with like-minded peers, organise impactful events, and gain valuable insights for her academic and professional growth.

Marieluise Tillmann

Chief Marketing Officer

Marieluise is a 12th-grade student at the Berlin Metropolitan School with a strong passion for economics, politics, and the business world. Outside the classroom, Marieluise is engaged in various extracurricular activities that develop her leadership and analytical skills. She has actively participated in Model United Nations conferences, including Oxford 2022, Bermun 2021, Harvard India 2021, and Yale 2021, which have honed her diplomatic and public speaking abilities. In addition to her involvement in MUN, Marieluise is dedicated to tennis, both as a player and a coach for younger athletes.

This is her second year of participating in JEC, where she looks forward to collaborating with peers, organizing impactful events, and gaining deeper insights that will support her academic and professional aspirations. Marieluise plans to pursue a career in politics and business, with a particular interest in international relations and startups.

Ada Kroymann

Event Manager

Ada is 16 years old and an 11th-grade IB diploma student at Berlin Metropolitan School. As a new board member of the Junior Economic Club Berlin, Ada brings a strong passion for economics and international business, with a particular interest in the film and entertainment industry. Having grown up in Shanghai and speaking fluent Mandarin, she offers a unique global perspective. Outside of academics, Ada likes to play tennis. She has participated in several league tournaments for her club and helped her team move up to a higher league. She also enjoys singing. Until recently, Ada was part of a performance group with appearances at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Deutsche Oper, and international invitations to the U.S. and France. Through the Junior Economic Club, she hopes to connect with like-minded peers and deepen her understanding of economics, leadership, and essential business skills.

Norah Maaß

Public Outreach Officer

Norah, a senior at Berlin’s French Highschool, on her way to completing the French Baccalauréat and German Abitur, focuses on mathematics, sciences, and economics. Her particular interest in neuroscience and economics will drive her future studies. Recently, she deepened her interest in brain science through a summer programme at Freie Universität Berlin. Passionate about politics and public speaking she has participated in several sessions of the European Youth Parliament and taken on delegate and chair roles at the Berlin European Parliament hosted at her school, where she now supports the organisation of the 2026 session. Whether co-planning her school’s Abiball or earning recognition in the regional Rallye Mathématiques d'Alsace competition, she approaches projects with creativity and precision. Beyond that, she enjoys practising classical ballet, playing the piano, sailing and athletics. Through JEC, she hopes to grow as a leader, connect with ambitious peers, and support the club’s outreach across Berlin schools.

Elina Brockmann

Chief Logistics Officer

Elina is a junior at Berlin International School, currently working toward the IB Diploma Programme with Higher Level courses in Business and Economics. Her academic interests lie in understanding how businesses and economies operate and evolve. She began regularly attending Junior Economics Club meetings last year and is now glad to be serving as the clubs Chief Logistics Officer. Outside of school, she is working toward her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, having already completed Bronze. The experience has helped her strengthen skills such as resilience, collaboration, and independence. In her free time, Elina enjoys playing tennis and golf at her local club, which allows her to stay active and engage with others outside of school. Although she is still exploring specific career paths, she is currently considering options in business or economics. Through JEC, she looks forward to gaining new perspectives and contributing to upcoming events.


Leoni Kluge

Community Outreach Officer

Leoni is a 12th-grade student at Berlin British School and plans to study Finance and Management at university. Her global perspective was shaped by time spent at a British boarding school, where she developed a deep appreciation for international collaboration. Recently, she co-founded an educational project for younger students and hosted a startup competition at her school. Leoni strengthened her leadership skills as part of the school newspaper’s editorial team. Outside of class, Leoni is passionate about horse riding, particularly dressage. She is dedicated to the training of young horses and has gained experience in logistics and stable management. She also completed the piano Unterstufenabschluss (certificate), regularly volunteers at art-related events, and successfully led a fundraising campaign, further developing her organisational skills. Leoni looks forward to her role as Community Outreach Officer and is excited to connect with like-minded peers and gain valuable experience.
